The 34th Annual National Night Out celebration is rapidly approaching across the country. This year’s celebration is scheduled for August 1st, 2017, between the evening hours of 4:00pm-8:00pm.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office Crime Prevention Unit would like to be a part of bringing communities together and helping to raise awareness via the “See Something, Say Something” strategy. We welcome communities who will stand in solidarity on August 1st against crime with active events to share and promote with fellow residents.
This years annual event is given the theme- “Making Time for Ridding Crime”. There is an informational meeting scheduled for 7:00pm on July 20th, at the central operations building of the Sheriff’s Office located at 2500 W. Colonial Drive. Please review the attached documents for information on how to RSVP for the Sheriff’s Office attendance at your event, and if interested entering the community contest for best organized event planned for August. Please know that the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place contest winners will be visited personally by Sheriff Jerry Demings and his senior staff on that evening. Either way please RSVP and join us and the community at large for a fabulous time with fellow residents and law enforcement.
